Another body has been recovered from yet to be identified helicopter, which crashed Wednesday evening into the Lagoon at the Oworonshoki area of Lagos bringing to four so far found.
Earlier three dead bodies had been recovered while two other persons, who suffered various injuries, had been taken to Afolabi Hospital.
As at the time of filing this report, no one could emphatically ascertain the cause of the crash and the identity of the ill-fated helicopter, but officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA said the helicopter was seen nose diving before it crashed into the lagoon.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the crash.
In his text message, NEMA spokesman, Ibrahim Farinloye, said no distress call was sent to NEMA alert system from the chopper, but rescue agencies are at the scene of the incident.
“Four dead bodies recovered so far. Two injured have been taken to Afolabi Hospital. Another injured person is receiving treatment at the General Hospital. The identity of the helicopter is yet unknown,” Farinloye said.
